New Art Exhibit: ERIC LAVAZZON “God or Evil But Still Human - Works on Paper”
Eric Lavazzon's works are strong three dimensional portraits carved in plexi glass. Most of his paintings derives from found items which represent various thoughts and feelings about the human experience. Items are usually found locally with recent items coming from Soho NY and South Beach in Miami. Recent Projects uses Installation of shoe boxes and lids as the canvas calling out in support of eco-concious behavior. Polish born Lavazzon was influenced at an early age by Rauschenberg, Warhol, and other American Pop Art.
Eric attended art college in Poland prior to studying independently and through various apprenticeships with Hyper Realism Master Andrzej Jakub Kapica, illustration Professor Franciszek Starowieyski, and installation specialist Wladyslaw Hasior.
When asked to make a summation regarding his art," The essence of my art is ecological. Nothing is Something? Something is Nothing? The juxtaposition of everyday materials creates a Fantastic effect, sometimes enchanting, sometimes grotesque.”
