Agnieszka Holland's "In Darkness" in New York theaters

"In Darkness", directed by Agnieszka Holland and nominated for the Academy Award® for Best Foreign Language film (Poland), will have its New York opening, screening at the Angelika Film Center and the Lincoln Plaza Cinemas starting Friday, Feb 10.

"In Darkness" is based on the true story of an unlikely hero, Leopold Socha, masterfully portrayed by actor Robert Wieckiewicz, who saves a group of Jews by hiding them in the sewers of L'viv during the German occupation.

A Sony Pictures Classics release.
